I am a journalist and audio producer currently based between London and Paris.
I took my first international flight when I was 19 years old - and haven’t stopped moving since then.
I’m originally from Chicago. If you get me talking about Chicago, I’ll go on for hours about why our food, music, and of course - people - are the best in the country.
One of my favorite Chicagoans was Studs Terkel, the greatest oral historian of all time. His work was all about telling the fascinating stories of ordinary people.
If you want to listen to some of my recent work, I’d love for you to hear this piece about the long history of police violence in Marseille and what some people (including one 19-year-old!) are doing to try and change that relationship. Or this piece about the history of Northern Soul, an underground music genre / Waiting for Sugarman-esque story about how dozens of unknown American soul artists became hit sensations in the UK.
